Katie grew up in the woods of the Pacific Northwest, among mossy evergreens and giant ferns (fronds!). When she left the forest for the city, she still found herself feeling most at home surrounded by plants. She began filling her studio apartment with unique botanicals, and her fascination grew alongside her collection.

With a background in digital product design, Katie started arranging flowers during the pandemic as an escape from screens. Now based in LA, she finds inspiration from the city’s Dr. Seussian landscape and bountiful flower market. 

Frond is an expression of love for captivating and weird moments in nature. Katie is drawn to unusual textures, gestural shapes, and warm colors.
