Katie grew up in the woods of the Pacific Northwest, among mossy evergreens and giant ferns (fronds!). After leaving the forest for the city, she still felt most at home surrounded by plants. She filled her first tiny studio apartment (in NYC, at the time) with unique botanicals, and her fascination grew alongside her collection.

With a background in digital product design, Katie started arranging flowers as an escape from screens during the pandemic. Now based in LA, she finds inspiration from the city’s Dr. Seussian landscape and incredible flower market. 

Frond is an expression of love for captivating and curious moments in nature. Katie is drawn to unusual textures, gestural shapes, and warm colors.
