Katie grew up in the woods of the Pacific Northwest, among mossy evergreens and giant ferns (fronds!). After leaving the forest for the city, she still felt most at home surrounded by plants. She filled her first little studio apartment with unique botanicals, and her fascination grew alongside her collection.

Hailing from a digital product design background, Katie started arranging flowers as an escape from screens. Now based in LA, she finds inspiration from the city’s Dr. Seussian landscape and bountiful flower market. 

Frond is an expression of love for captivating and weird moments in nature. Katie is drawn to unusual textures, gestural shapes, and warm colors.
