Katie grew up in the woods of the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by mossy evergreens and giant ferns (fronds!). Her affinity for plants blossomed when she lived in NYC’s concrete jungle, where she became an avid collector of unique houseplants. 

With a background in interaction design, Katie started arranging flowers during the pandemic as an escape from screens. Now based in LA, she finds inspiration from the city’s Dr. Seussian landscape and bountiful flower market. 

Frond is an expression of love for captivating and weird moments in nature. Katie is drawn to unusual textures, gestural shapes, and warm colors.
